Immunizations for Tetanus and Tuberculosis Testing

Choose Hilo/Kea`au Urgent Care Center for:

• Tetanus shot - A tetanus shot is a must in case of deep punctures and wounds, specifically those caused by rusted nails or knives if you haven't had this shot in the past 5 to 10 years. Turn to a professional for help if you have had a deep wound and are unsure if you have had your tetanus shot or not

• Tuberculosis test - A mandatory requirement in Hawai'i public school system, this test is done to check whether you have ever been exposed to tuberculosis.  1 step and 2 step tests are available as needed.
